Brokentoes - so sorry to hear about your experience yesterday. Glad you're on the mend now though.

I've posted on the other Shakespeare topic, but thought I'd add my comments here too..

OH.MY.GOD. HOW HARD WAS THAT!!!!!!!!!!! It was my first ever marathon and I managed to struggle round in 4.52.. BUT, I so very nearly gave up at the Half split..if it wasn't for the fact I was being sponsored I definitely would have given up. It was so hot. I am so chuffed that I managed to get round at all..! I was the one who kept saying to everyone, 'Isn't it terrible..' I had 'In Memory of my Mum' written on the back of my vest and thanks to so many runners who kept on encouraging me.. that really helped spur me on. After the race, I said, 'NEVER, EVER AGAIN..', but this morning.. well, you know how it is.. Plus I've hardly got any aches at all. Bit stiff, but only a couple of blisters.. bad sunburn on my shoulders though! WELL DONE to everyone who managed it yesterday. I would love to have spoken more to everyone, but I felt so bad.

OH MY GOD - HOW HARD WAS THAT!!!!!!!! If it wasn't for the fact I was being sponsored, I would have given up and finished at the Half!! It was so hot wasn't it! It was my first marathon and I feel so chuffed with myself for actually completing it (4hr 52m). Well done to everyone who did it yesterday. So many people looked absolutely dreadful didn't they (including me!!). Surprisingly enough, I don't feel bad at all today.. bit achey and stiff and a couple of blisters - but nothing too terrible.
Well done guys.

Hi all,
My running number in this is 1042.

I am getting really nervous..

I'm not staying overnight, I'm going up on Sunday morning and will try to find somewhere to park.. or am I kidding myself? GOOD LUCK to everyone. I only hope I can get round in one piece..

Thanks Ed.. I'm running for MacMillan Nurses, so hopefully that'll give me a bit of inspiration when I'm flagging..!
