Kind of makes the current Budweiser ad - "You do the football, we'll do the beer" - seem chillingly prophetic.

T&T - monumental time - you are a true god and a credit to Auntie. This humble ex-employee nibbled a couple of mins from last year to clock 3:51ish. I'm very happy with that as I really hadn't done enough miles since Xmas.

Don't know if I was on a high or what, but the support along the final mile and a half or so was stupendous. Really drove me on to a strong finish after suffering between 20-24.

I'm now contemplating a local marathon in 4 weeks time, with a small field, no crowd and water stations only. Something of a mental test with plenty of time on your own, very different to London/NYC. Could bring me back down to earth with a bump.

Hello Peeps!!

Doing my annual check-in to see if you are all behaving yourselves. Don't get the chance to fool around on the net all day now as I've joined the ranks of the self-employed and actually have to work for a living. BLUNDER!!!!!

Blue start for the FLM this year - who may I have the pleasure of meeting on the 17th???

OB - I have a hankering to do the Lake V half this year, must see if my usual hotel has vacancies???

Belated Xmas, New Year, Easter, Yom Kippur etc, etc, greetings to all my NY buddies.

T&T - "Legends will be rewritten" - all your own work? Re injury, I'm actually frightened to go for a run in case it hasn't mended and I'm set back more weeks. And all the time accumulating blubber and wasted muscle!

Ahem. I had a horrible shock with my bank statement. FLM cheque has been cashed and I'm a disgusting blob that hasn't run anywhere (due to injury) for over 2 months. Panic.
