Thanks for replies people..Im in the sticks tbh so roads are pretty quiet back way in so not really stop start till I hit town.
However, I am a fan of the turbo and I have a very good setup (Computrainer) and it is very comprehensive in the workouts and I had the same thought lines as you GB, that a comprehensive workout on turbo is better. My longer rides are outside but wasnt sure if the ride in would compliment it.
I will stick on turbo and perhaps have a couple of rides in see how it goes...
Have a change in circumstances that would enable me to cycle to work..route is 10 miles each way but unsure what would be best.
My current plan is 3 turbo's and 1 outdoor ride per week using a very good structured turbo program. If I cycle to work do I replace that days turbo or is getting miles into the the bike legs just as good as a decent turbo or would both be beneficial?
