Hello, Cheers for the advice I have done one marathon before and vowed never to do another, however, with it being the first Yorkshire Marathon i thought i`d give it a go. i`m definately a runner more than a biker, with semi decent swimming. I need to find a decent training plan I think, I intend to do a half marathon around April which ifigure will help both the tri training and the marathon training, then leave the marathon training till after the tri in July. In relation to the boxing, the sessions aren't too intense as it`s only a charity thing for work, so i'm hoping that won't get in the way of the other training. |

| As the title says I'm training for a marathon (Oct 2013) and the London triathlon (July 2013), however I could do with a few tips on which training to do first, which should take precedence etc? I'm also boxing in September in a charity boxing match but I know how to train for that. Any help much appreciated, if this has already been covered in a previous thread if anyone can point me there that'd be good too! Ta Ben |

Hello again, It seems i keep popping in and out with random questions here and there! And i have another question if anyone can help me?? I mentioned previously I am training for a triathlon, and all the training is slowly but surely killing me. Does anyone use any kind of energy shakes/drinks, recovery drinks, etc?? The only one I ever take is a protein supplement after the gym but have been doing this for years, however I know there are items out there for stuff like this, energy gells and the such. Now I could easy pop into a shop and ask but as i`m an easy sell i`d leave the shop with £100 of gels and bars which I don't really need. Any one help?? Hope everyones well and enjoying their running, swimming biking or whatever folk are upto Ben |

Cake,
That the weekend of the 23-24th? I think it is but it's far too early!! I'm on afters shift that weekend if I can get the time off then i reckon a baby tri couldn't do any harm! Cheers for that if I can get the time off I'll be up for it just so I can practice putting my helmet on before my vest!! |

Cake, it is my first one! I maybe shoulda tried out a sprint one first to see how I get on! And yeah it's the one in the sea, I'm not so much worried bout the sharks and crabs as the tyres and shopping trolleys!!
Becky I'll probably be that tired when I get out if the water i could forget to put a helmet on, I've been in touch with Hillsborough just need to arrange the lessons now.
Thanks for the advice, went for an 8 mile run today and found that hard enough so this tri could be the end of me! |
