I'm thinking of doing this but cannot convince anyone to join me!  Am a bit nervous of running it on my own as new to this kind of event.

just wondered how many people have signed up for it and if anyone can give me any advice as to how to tackle it - clothing, top tips etc, as only ever done road races before

Hi Guys, I'm joinging the sprained ankle club too. Managed to land on the side of my ankle after jumping down 3 steps (so from some height!). Benn 5 weeks now and can manage a little jog. My mistake was not seeing anyone, Dr. or physio for 3 1/2 weeks afterwards. I did spend 5 days skiing in the week immediately after with very little pain but normal activities hurt! Am trekking for a month in 8 weeks so fingers crossed it responds to treatment now!

they are the ones that have gone bust! I have found somewhere - the crown hotel, about 2 miles out of town, that includes breakfast too so will probably book there and drive up instead!

HI,

I'm due to travel to Stoke on Trent in a coupe of weeks time and my hotel has gone bust and they phoned me up to tell me that they will not be honoring my booking. I have asked them to find another hotel/B&B/guesthouse at £25 a night or less, for the 2 nights but they are not overly helpful.

So..... does anyone live/work in Stoke on Trent that could point me in the direction of a cheap place to stay for 2 nights, as close to the train station as possible???

I know it's not running related but you're such a helpful bunch, any help is greatly appreciated

Jj, I can recommend Karrimor Explorer GTX boots - retail at £80, fabric boots with gortex lining, comfy straight out the box, and on my 3rd pair.

Milletts often sell off last years model of these at £60 ish and mandm sports - now mandmdirect.com have them for £49.99.

Hope this helps
