Welcome Marcus And Malc. Have a great time if you get picked for Asics 26.2. I made bootcamp a couple of years ago, but didn't get to the voting stage. You'll get some great advice/tips on here, not that I've managed to put them into practice . I'm in the 'less is more' camp. The less time you spend training, the more time it takes to run a marathon, and I've perfected it over the years.
Did a progressive 5m this morning, the weather was awful. Waves breaking over the sea wall and flooding the coast road, and gale force winds, you could hardly stand up in it.....Good job I was on the gym TM watching it.
Shall we bow out of Jantastic at the top, before we drop down the divisions.
Steve - It might be easier just to follow a thread on the RW forums. There's already a healthy Edinburgh mara thread... http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/forum/spring-marathon/edinburgh-marathon/228665-26.html , and Depending what time you're looking for, there will be a thread for that time I'm sure ie sub3.00, sub 3:30 etc. so lots of like minded runners to pick their brains also. I'm doing Manchester in Apr, hopefully around the 3:30 mark, all the best.
