thanks for all the replies. I think the plan is to both try to get into the red start and if they won't let him in, he'll just have to wander down to blue and we'll revert to plan B....

how do chaps!

Forgive me for not reading back... Hope everyone is cool? Running and cycling sporadically after Paris in April (yes, I know!). Mrs C and I have decided to do Brum half together this year in Oct and so her getting up at 6am to train while I chill is a real treat!

I just thought I would drop a post to say hello - hope you're all really well.

morning all. I trust everyone's well...?

I am having a go at the Paris marathon next year and much of the training (which starts boxing day btw!?) will necessarily be in the rain/snow/mud, so am getting some trail shoes.

Question is, are the Salomon Crossspeed 2 any good over a mix of trails, towpaths and roads? I know one of you will have run in them... ta

Anyway, long time no post so without reading back over 6 months worth, I hope you're all doing well and enjoying your running!!

Yep, mom and baby all good now ta. Seems rather surreal now looking back on it! Mom has even been out for a few runs in the last month!

GE, didn't manage the BBCHM this year as I had a chest infection, but am signed up to the Wombourne Sprint Tri and the Brum half.

Needless to say my running and general fitness levels have taken a bit of a backseat, but managed to do a 10 miler on Sunday and a 7 miler today at respectable speeds.

Hoping to do half mara distance Sunday, and build from there.....

Seems like most people rate Paris then, just worried that Amsterdam will take some beating for me, both from a finish time and post race beer experience....!! Nothing untoward you understand!
