Goods have to be fit for purpose - if they weren't (as it sounds like), you are entitled to a refund. Try quoting your rights under consumer legislation at them, see if they relent (to get you off their back. You might want to mention that if they have caused you injury through not being fit for purpose, you are entitled to compensation as well.)

This website gives you things to quote at them.

Sorry - won't be able to let you know what replacement I found... yet.

Got another couple of pairs of Omni 2s from Northern Runner - even cheaper than last time.

Maybe this time next year.

Call me dense, but don't runners replace their shoes quite often - and usually with exactly the same ones? So if you keep a successful shoe pretty much the same there's almost a guaranteed market to build on?

Anyway... I like the DS trainer for speedwork but not for a long run. And I never liked the fit of nike shoes, I always felt like I was falling off them. Will have to reenter the market...

OK - bit of a long shot. After my collection of Omni 2's has run out... Where can I get some - or does anyone have any suggestions about what would be a good replacement?
