Steady - very sensible indeed. Generally I think women are more sensible than men, we don't have to do that whole bravado thing.
I didn't really have any other choice than DNS, if I can't walk properly, I'm unlikely to run any better. Have booked an initial consultation with a physio for tomorrow, £15 pounds for 15 mins. Not sure if I should've just gone the whole hog straight away. Kind of feels like a trapped nerve/pulled muscle all in one. It's close to work but will have to drive and then probably book a proper session as well. It's starting affect my back now as well as I walk funny and gets stiff after sitting down. So rubbish! Hopefully have some answer tomorrow. The reason I haven't gone via my doctor is that I don't have a doctor at the new place yet and who knows how long you have to wait to get referred. However, depending if this is a quick fix or long term thing, might still need to do that...
Hope everyone not injured are making most of the lovely weather we have atm.
At Turin airport waiting for our flight back. Had intermittent WiFi where we were staying so have read bits and bobs but can't remember nowt now.
Alibear - hope you've managed to get Physio booked.
I managed to learn to snowboard but my hip is as bad as ever and after sitting for long periods I walk like an old lady so no half mara for me tomorrow. will need to find a Physio close to work so it'll be easier to get to. But gutted as I've trained OK, after diagnose I'll be looking for another half to enter soon.
Hello all and well done on keeping the good work going.
Just touching base, did another 1.8 miles after the 5 miles last Wednesday but had to cut it short as my little injury (pulled upper hamstring) turned into something like trapped nerve on my hip and it started going numb with every stride. So I'm on enforced rest for the week. However, I'm off skiing this weekend so no running next week either...
