RB - its on 26th April 2014 - there is the option of doing a half . Probably too near date of London marathon for you?

Mort - pleased to report there are bridges across the M62 - theres a very high one near Scammonden that is popular for suicides. Used to go riding round there many years ago and would always lead my pony across that one in case she decided to tip me off.

Mort - Huddersfield marathon route - its a two lapper and goes up Scapegoat Hill twice - thats quite a climb - it is up near Scammonden - then down into Stainland and back up a massive hill. Very tough.

Mort - never heard of Huddersfield marathon and I bloomin live here. It wont be flat.

Googled it and still none the wiser - organic adventure race ? Sounds like the sort of thing where they will measure the course inaccurately and send folk the wrong way.

TB - nah - Trooper Lane is in Halifax. Race starts near rugby club in West Vale - same place as Calderdale Way Relay starts from.

NI - what a bleeding shambles. Poor you.

Andi Jones broke course record at Bluebell Trail 10 on Sunday morning and won £200. Not a race I would want to do a week after a marathon - lots of cobbles and tree roots and rubble and bumps and dislocated knees and the most ridiculous hill you have ever seen (Trooper Lane) that you are supposed to run up. And a river crossing to finish - shame it wasnt deep enough to drown myself in. Never again!
