Hi I have run a good few marathons and a few ultras always in trainers but changed over to vibrams in spring. I bit early to risk london but i have built up mileage slowly over last 6 months. now up to 4 hour fell runs I use KSO treks knee probs much less but occasional pain in ball of foot usually if i hit a big stone on decent. my advice start steady mix grass and trails into training especially early days. watch for calf pain in first 6 weeks. Walk in them shop in them anything to get feet to adapt. Last bit of advice read Chi running and Born to run both books readily available. I am no expert but havedone plenty of miles, e mail me if you want a chat. /forum/smilies/confused_smiley.gif[/img]tillgoingsteady@hotmail.co.uk]stillgoingsteady@hotmail.co.uk |
