Just a quick tip I picked up on other threads.

The gel in the shows have a life of about two years (unused) so getting a cheap deal for shoes a couple of seasons old may not be worth it. When you buy them, ask how long they're been stored in stock.

Went out Saturday with a s610 on one wrist (thxs Mrs Santa) and a Timex SDM on the other (from Mrs Santa last year). Hows that for being totally geekish.

Best two and a half hours on TV this weekend. Well done Paula, showing the world what you are made off. Especially with the Athens headlines still echoing around the press.

Well done to Chepdemei as well, hope she's not to disappointed after such a spirited run. No shame in second (esp. to our Paula).

After two pairs Asics Nimbus V's, I purchased a pair of Nimbus VI's, same size. A half marathon later minus a toe nail and huge blisters. Time to buy a bigger shoe or different brand. Pity as usually I'm pretty loyal to my brands when I find something good.

Had a fabulous one, doing a long (for me) run down the Grand Union Canal. 28 degree heat, half an hour to go and run through this huge number of teenies/tweenies having a party.

One girl asked for some water. Not one to pass a fair maiden in distress I stopped and offered my water bottle. A couple of bewildered blinks later I realised she wanted to keep the bottle. I thought she was taking the p*ss, but the boy friend suitable embarrassed rescued it for me.

Off course, I don't need water. While she with tonnes of beer in reach, didn't quite understand the irony.
