Does seem kinda bizarre that his family carried on regardless of him being missing on Christmas Day...perhaps he usually went out for epic runs and regularly missed out on family things?

Perhaps use a cold, wet flannel on your face afterwards?

I guess the redness is just all the blood rushing to your face to try and cool down!

PJAZ - "This is true of any race, Olympics or fun.  I mean what the point of anyone lining up against Usain Bolt or Kenenisa Bekele?  We run because we can and we choose to - nuff said."

Exactly - that can be said for any sport or activity - why play tennis as you're never going to win Wimbledon? Why play football as you're never going to play in the Premiership?

People do these activities because they enjoy them, not necessarily (just) because they are fast/good at it!

It's no wonder people don't talk about their interests or their private lives when people are so quick to judge - especially when the other person doesn't know what they're talking about!

I'm as slow a runner as you can get but I still get out there - what did he think, that you are just "born" a fast runner? No practice necessary? No one else should bother if they aren't fast?

Stick your finger up at him and tell him to get a life.
