Hello all, ive been lurking for a while, sort of building up to post! Been suffering for a few months, weirdly ever since completing a marathon, lost mojo for everything and back on meds and cbt, sadly have moved out from wife and children until i sort out everything!! So living in salisbury on own getting it back together, just started running and cycling again but hard work getting motivated.
Looks like you have a good thread going |

LR - I read that 1lb weight loss equates to 1.8 seconds/mile improvement
It seems a bit anally accurate to me but I lost 10lbs last year and was 15 - 20 seconds better off/mile in a half where I knocked 7 mins off pb and it was definitely not due to training.
So worth doing

Caz I did nearly all my speed work on the treadmill, usually intervals 12 x 400 at 7 -7 20mm,
It took a lot out of my legs but was very beneficial, I quit it in the last 4 weeks of training as I could feel my legs too much. I managed 3.52 on 450 miles plus a few 50mile bikes.
Good luck with it.
Back to bike and pool for me next week |
