Yay, finally managed to register, after several crashes, it suddenly started going really quickly.  Registered as 104808.

Hopefully now the problems have been resolved.

Good luck to everyone else trying to enter

I bequethed and I have just received my rejection letter and fleece today.  That's 5 rejections in a row, so 2010 it is  - plenty of time for training.  May do Edinburgh Marathon though on 31st May, just to have something to focus on!

Good luck to those that do get in for 2009.

Since 2004, I have dabbled in running. I have run a number of 10k races, 1/2 marathons and even the London Marathon twice. However, I don't feel that I have ever reached my full potential, as more often than not I have trained by myself, not following any particular training plan.
I became a personal trainer at the start of this year, and I love training people to reach their fitness goals, but I also need to be pushed to reach mine. To win the chance to have someone push me to reach my goals would inspire me further to help others reach theirs. By having a support team behind me to monitor, encourage and motivate me to achieve my personal best in the half marathon it would give me the tools and knowledge to pass to others as they strive to become fitter, healthier and happier.
My goal for a half marathon is to break 2hours (as close to 1:45 as possible). My best so far is 2:07, and I just know I can do better if the training is right. I hate to let people down, and if I commit to something, I have to see it through right to the end. Hopefully my experiences (if chosen) will inspire others to lace up their running shoes and run out the door.
Liz

Hi
I am running the Flora London Marathon on the 23rd April 2006 in aid of Asthma UK. I hope to complete this in a time between 4 and 4 1/2 hours.

I have quite a steep target to meet for my Gold Bond place and any donations to help me reach my target and keep me motivated through the cold winter months would be greatly appreciated.

My link to donate to this worthy cause is www.justgiving.com/lizsmall

Thank you for your support in my fund raising efforts.

Liz

PS, the photo on my web page is to remind me through the cold winter of much warmer summer days!!!
