Hi all. Long time again. We got moved in last week and are nearly all settled. Just a few boxes of junk that you start to wonder "Why do I have this in the first place?" as you try to find a new home for it. Been keeping up the training though and did my first proper long run for a long time.
What: 10 miles
Why: schedule and I can again
Last rest: yesterday
Last hard: 25% of today
Having not done more than 6-7 miles for the past six months, today was a bit harder than I think it would've been if I had. Nonetheless I succeeded and managed it in 10:12 per mile. The pace today was marathon plus 45-60 seconds, so 9:56-10:31. I was happy with 10:12 as it was bang in the middle.
We've got mobile broadband at the moment until our phone line is hooked up, hopefully this Thursday. After that, I'll be fully connected again! For now, it's just hopping on now and again so as not to drive up the husband's phone bill!
Apologies as I'm so rushed off my feet these days I can't keep up on other people's goings on. I feel a bit selfish. Promise to do better as soon as we move on Saturday! We've got about eight people coming up to help and everything is all packed up. It should(!) go smoothly and a couple people can even start un-packing on the Saturday while the burly men go get the heavy stuff.
ZaTTu: Yes, it was a burst pipe. The landlord hadn't properly lagged the pipes and insulated the attic so it was an accident waiting to happen unfortunately.
Oh, and I'm only dealing with it well now. Trust me, the first two or three days you could've committed me to the local insane asylum. I was a basketcase.
Anyhoo, on to better things:
What: speedwork - 6 x 800m at 7:41-8:01/mile with 90 second jog recoveries
