Might be easier to skip the running and go straight to the pub!

hiya everyone,

I too am looking at the weather forecast like an obsessed fool, and check every site until I find one that I like!!!. can't believe that it can vary sooo much from one site to another!  don't know why I keep checking either cos what will be will be and we are going to run anyway!  think its something to keep me occupied with all this taper lark.  Glad to hear most injuries seem to be clearing up, I am really excited now and just can't wait for the day.  see you all there

Mrpmills.... I had ITB injury 2 years ago on my last long run, very similar situation, I was running Dublin.  It started to play up at mile 16 in dublin, however, I had purchased an ITB strap which is just a strap that you wrap around you leg just above the knee, i put this on at mile 16 and it got me through without too much discomfort.  Hope you recover before the marathon and dont need one but it might be worth buying one and bringing it with you just in case!.

Miggito.... hope your injury is just tendonitis and clears up by the marathon.

looking forward to the day, see you all there

oooops, my healthy eating and no alcohol in the run up to the marathon went a bit haywire on Saturday night and I ended up having an impromptu night out with the hubby and a few friends and drank WAAAY too much, vaguely remember wobbeling my way home and have still not recovered yet!! am eating chocolate and rubbish til the cows come home.  Hope I am over it by next week!  not the best preparation for a marathon,,  hey ho!
