I have done London and Brighton Marathons both of which were amazing. So as my last hurrah before I hang up trainers before my legs give up on me I am seriously thinking about doing one international marathon and as the route looks amazing I was thinking about Rome. Just wondering how easy is it to get into especially at this stage in the year and whats the organisation like?????
Well I am a glutton for punishment and I am working my way through insanity again! I have got a holiday in February to get in shape for so I am hoping that it is going to give me the same results as before. Just started month 2 this week and I had forgotten just how hard it was.....a nice pool of sweat on the floor after!
@Adam trust me I love insanity and it is intense BUT you WILL lose weight and there are no weights used in the main programme. I would say to you if your aim is to build muscle and you dont want to go to the gym then I would probably look more to something like P90X or BodyBeast these are more targeted at the getting big and buff crowd. If you go ahead with Insanity then there is an upper body workout but this is not part of the main programme and is a seperate dvd so you will have to do this in addition to the main workouts.

I have got a half marathon in 5 weeks so in the meantime I am just going to do insanity a couple of times a week so I can concentrate on my running. Then after that I have decided to do another round of insanity to maintain the results and see if I can improve. Cant believe I am saying this but I actually missed doing the workouts on holiday and feeling the burn!!
Gareth dont' know how it is for the guys but gotta say as a woman I dont think I have ever been so defined in my life. My guess however is for guys you will probably need to do a upper body workout with weights at the gym as well if you want to build muscle - although on the deluxe package of insanity there is a weights workout which he recommends you do a couple times a week in addition to the other workouts.
Finished!!!! Just got the fit test tommorrow then first round of insanity DONE!!
Got one week to holiday so just going to run and do a couple of insanity workouts to keep me going.....then once I am back from two weeks in the sun I am going to concentrate on my running do the half marathon in October then do ROUND 2 insanity!
