I am looking to do a bit of hill running and that would include some cross country to actually get to the base of the hills in the first place! We also have some country parks around my area with some great (muddy) trails so I'm looking for something that is going to cover all angles....o and this may include a bit of tarmac...?

yes, the idea is to tone up, of course there will be an element of muscle building as their is various exercises that you do. Generally working at about 10 - 15 reps of each exercise. It always leaves my thighs on FIRE! Slow and controlled is the key!
