I hated having my name on my vest a couple of years ago. When i'd had enough at 24 miles i wanted to crawl into my own little world and people shouting my name started to really annoy me. Im tempted this year to have a laugh and get the words "My Face" printed instead. The shouts of "come on ...............," should raise a few laughs at least
im pretty sure its not PF as i had that in the other foot a couple of years ago and this pain is completely different. Its only directly in the middle of the heel, not towards the front like PF. It doesnt ache in the mornings and like i say, 48 hours after running i can hardly feel it until after ive ran again.
I have seen a sports physio and hes pretty sure its the Fat Pad, ive never doubted him before in all the years ive seen him.
Currently got it taped up/cupped and that helps alot but was just hoping someone else had experience of this and could offer some advice.
With London now 3 weeks away its looking more and more unlikely ill be running it as suffering with annoying heel pain. Had it for a couple of months now and was hoping someone out there has had similar and what the best course of action is.
Im getting a horrible pain directly in the middle of the heel after ive ran and for the following 48 hours afterwards, to the point where hard surfaces are really difficult to walk on. Whilst running i dont get pain which is the wierd thing.
Ive tried padded insoles, taping the heel up and am starting to get a bit fed up of it. Physio seems to think its fine to carry on running as im not constantly having the pain, it does go away and hes under the impression that its just getting bruised and then repairing itself each time. Ive had X-ray and thats come back all clear. Got another Docs appt on Wed morning to push for a referral to a foot specialist but just want other opinions.
