2 miler this morning - first time I've ran 3 times in 1 week for a v long time & all SOC Didn't feel as achy as expected, but hoping DOMS won't catch me out tomorrow, going on 18 mile cycle ride with cycling club. Weather looks gorgeous too.
NW - Lots of sea birds, 1 luxury cruise liner docking at Liverpool Pier Head, 1 black cat & Peg Leg the 3 legged cat.
KateF, maybe hold off on a race list for a couple of weeks? I hope to be able to seriously consider entering 10Ks in about 3 weeks. Touch wood, fingers crossed etc.
SOC Body Pump & Abs Blast, then Circuits at lunch. Must be 15 years since I last did Circuits. I'm rubbish at some of the stations but nicely surprised at others. Instructor has done the event I'm eyeing up & confirmed the class will be good prep.
I seriously expect to suffer tomorrow, but hoping DOMS won't effect long bike ride on Saturday.
Nice to hear everyone is getting out & about, sorry Katiecom is feeling less than 100%
Toughmudder looks brilliant, but my fitness levels are only building back up to 10K at the mo'. I watched my brother do Hellrunner in Delamere Forest about 1 year ago, that looked fab. You never know, I might get the bug & take on Hellrunner & Toughmudder in 2013 (me & my big mouth)!
SOC Body Pump & Abs Blast classes then back to gym for X-Biking at lunch today
Been re-living the old episode of The Likely Lads, trying to avoid news of Tri result & Bolt 200m heat. Proved difficult as I work in an office of 70 & was at the gym at lunchtime. A colleague blurted that Team GB had got another gold & radio at gym wittered that Bolt had done well - I'd caved by 2.30pm & had quick visit of BBC website. It was probably unrealistic to swerve the results before I could watch iPlayer about 7pm anyhoos. I'm sure I'll still enjoy catching up, even knowing the result.
Many thanks for the supportive comments about my slow & steady return. A friend has suggested we enter Survival of the Fittest in Manchester - 10K with obstacles. Could be fun??
Well done on trail run at weekend, Katiecom. Hope the niggle disappears.
