Finally back in front of a pc. Some great times and congrats to everyone. I did 3h55 which for my first marathon I was well pleased with, the target was sub 4hr. No cramping or hitting the wall so all the training/luck paid off. The crowd were fantastic, I've never run such a massively supported race before and coming through mile 13 was amazing, just a huge number of people cheering and somehow managed to spot my own little fan club. And then the final few miles along the sea front were unbelievable, I just tried to soak up as much of the atmosphere as possible. A great day and one of lifes highlights for me. Keep on running |

Have tried the shotblocks over the last few long runs and they are much easier to chew if you keep them in your hand for 5 mins. They really seem to change in consistency with the temperature and if it's a bit cold they are really tough to chew and run but warmed up a bit they aren't too bad. I'm not a fan of chewing and running but will probably use them anyway just to keep me topped up. Will also carry SIS gel sticks so no excuses for running out of steam. Good luck |

I entered with a 4.00 - 4.15 time and have a purple/pink colour, not sure if entering via the ballot makes a difference but guess wil see on the day. I received an update on the App and that now has all the 2012 stuff so presume just go to updates or re-download it. Great news Gloryboy hope you are back out running in near future. A cheeky HIT session with kettlebells this morning and I think my feet and ankles thank me for it. Happy running. |

Some great runs from everyone this weekend, looks to be a final push before the big one. A steady 13 miler for me yesterday in perfect conditons, wth some hill work thrown in. Woke up this morning and my feet and ankles are killing me, (not an area I usually have any problems with), some more rest might be needed between now and the 15th. Was hoping the 10mins in a cold path afterwards would have prevented this but not to be. Keep up the great work guys, 12 days, 19hrs and 16 mins to go |

Sue Wright 4, apparently ballot packs are posted out if you paid the extra £5 when you entered. I must have done that but have absolutely no recollection, but got an email form the organisers to confirm. Can now relax and enjoy my tapering happy running all |
