B&T - the nagging did help, but in fairness I did know I need to slow down I am well hyped about the world cup. If I go AWOL for a month, you'll know why!
Well I moved to the UK from the US and knew nothing about football. I hated it here and so resolved to not support England - in fact back then I was supporting whoever their opposition was. Anyway I digress. World cup 98 rolled around and as a compete neutral I went with Spain because they carried that under-acheivers label which did strike a bit of a chord with me - and it sort of went from there.
Robbie - you had a good 10 minutes though - take that as a positive. Next time you can build that to 11-12 minutes? And keep going from there. Maybe start a bit slower and build pace gradually over the run.
Whats with all this cat chat in here?
Had running club tonight, did a fairly easy 7.5k and got my pacing spot on I think. Went around in about 40 minutes and felt fine. Steady and consistent pace. Woohoo.
World cup tomorrow - means lots of late nights and strugglign early morning runs for a month me thinks
Viva Espana (no Im not Spanish but I've supported them in every tournament since I moved to this country - so since France 98)
Woah this topic has sort of launched off on its own! Can't keep up with you lot!
B&T - I am still (trying to) be careful. Main problem I am having is pacing now - every session is becoming a speed session. What was meant to be a gentle tempo run on Tuesday turned into a sprint/interval session sort of Whoopsie!
AHD - ALMOST decided???? DO IT! Do it do it do it do it do it
Re water bottles - I hate carrying something in one hand as well. I feel like I need to either take 2 or none, because it really distracts me otherwise.
Nothing wrong with getting up close and personal with frisky bulls first thing in the morning Them and nettles at the same time might cause some issues though.
I have been a bit lazy with my running since my 10k. Went out for a laboured 4.5 miles on Sunday morning, which sort of (un)officially kicked off my training for Run to the Beat (16 weeks to go as of yesterday). Need to sort out a training plan and start following it I guess
