My thighs do seem to have got bigger pip in my opinion but other half says different lol!

I live in Mansfield but work in Dorset which is a rare treat!! Both of which seem to be full of hills of varying degrees!

Looke at the spibelts today. Not sure whether to get one or not!!

Also am worried my trainers may be giving up on me!!

Pip I have been drinking pints and pints of milk these last few months to stop me losing weight. Have an 18 miler at the weekend but over last 3 days have done 22 miles and I have my first niggle in my knee. I had to run this morning as we had PT at work but I went with the slow group. The hills were rude tho!

And Tina youre lucky to be ahead I am about 3 weeks behind lol!!

I will probably be working away this time next year so London will be out

I've got my little nephew (10 yr old) coming down on the day with other half to cheer me on. All he wants is a photo with my finishers medal round his neck. So have to complete it lol can't let him down!!

Right must turn off Jeremy Kyle and go back to work!!

The day after the nightmare before I always say never again and end up wanting too however the stress of this is so much more than I expected. I once did 40 miles with 30lbs on my back as part of a team. The training for that seemed easier. I think it was because there were 6 of us all training together but with this I'm kinda trying to fit training around work/life/obstacles lol. In the training for 40 miler we did 20 in 4.5 hrs with the weight but I dont feel half as fit as I did then.

Ref LSRs I did a half in 1:43ish before Xmas. Last 13 mile run I did I forced myself to go slow and it felt harder or maybe I forgot how it felt before Xmas?!

Just got back from 5-6 miler first run after flu/virus and it was mediocre I felt like
I could have done more but didnt want to push it.

I also hate that I live in a place with so many hills. Not massive ones but frequent and steep/long enough to know they are there. I've heard London is pretty flat I hope it's true.

What's your plan for the day then Rebecca? A lot of my family and friends are heading down to cheer me on. And work colleagues will no doubt be expecting at least a half decent time due to the job I do!! That all adds up to lots of pressure.

I think if I can get upto 18 done before the day I will feel better about attempting it lol! Glad that I'm not the only one injury/illness prone. Reading on the Internet has lots of people saying give it a miss if you don't feel ready but £2000 charity sponsorship stops me doing that!

What time are you going for if any Phillipa? My other half is fed up of me not just being a terrible patient but also banging on about missing runs lol!! I have been told that I am not to do next years lol as they feel they are training with me. We shall see maybe that's an idea lol!!
