I love this half!!! I have done it the last 4 years, and have already entered for this year!! Yes there are some hills, and the one up through Saltram isn't so much steep but long!!! But to be honest, if you train around here (Plymouth) you will encounter hills wherever you go, so you will be fine!!

Loads of support, and as everyone else has said, a fab food tent at the finish!!!

           See you there............!!!!

Yep....got the steps on my list!!! Encounter lots of them.......and wading through ankle deep mud without a care in the world seems to be the norm at the mo due to all this rain!!

I can't wait!!! This sounds like fun, in a weird kind of way!!!!

Ah ha!!! Pebble beach to find then!!! I've run across the sand on a couple of beaches I take in en route, which vary considerably from solid wet sand, to dry deep sand!!

Thanks for that!!! Guess what I'm doing this weekend then.........

I have entered The Grizzly this year, and it will be my first time of doing it. I was just after peoples past experiences and advice on how to train for it.......if that's at all possible!! God knows what they'll throw at us this year!!

I am currently training on the cliffs......which are VERY muddy at the mo!! Doing lots of hillwork, but still including some road running to build the distance up and being on my feet for a long time!!! I have done lots of half marathons in previous years, both on and off road, and am currently up to about 14miles off road on the cliffs.

Any advice greatly appreciated, as I want to give this my best shot!!!
