after thinking i had achilles tendonitis i realise now i have peritendinitis.

i can feel the swelling and crepitus and am treating it with a support bandage, ice (well deep freeze gel and spray actually) and rest and elevating it and ibuprofen.

anyone had this and what was your road to recovery like and how long?

cheers

if it is an achilles you should use RICE rest,ice,compression,elevation-and ibuprofen. I've started intensely doing this to treat mine. you may think it is healed but then it will keep coming back unless you let it heal properly. i have a 10k in six days...not sure if i'll make it round tho
