just bristol and back today so hardly felt like getting in the car at all.
windy this morning but the weather wasn't too bad.
apprentice in tow but good day, lots done - on own tommoz hoping for an early afternoon finish in brizzol but then had a run to cardiff added and possible support for a my young padawan who may or may not need his hand help over the phone. no beer in daylight hours for me i reckon. no run today either - too damn tired - shame aching and a little plod might have helped...
work is manic, no time to read back apart from the current page, but welcome back Des, and yooohoo to all lovely WAISters
know the feeling
520'ish miles in 2 days .... ok by car but i managed to do most of two days work and some phone support and repairs and get some stock replenishment done - so sorry for not getting back to anyone yesterday .
started yesterday morning home in Newport south wales - by lunchtime i was finishing a repair in Leighton Buzzard (in Bedfordshire ???) then i got asked to go to Norwich for a call out as nobody else was available.
on the up side i got some decent beer and a posh liver and onions on expenses in a pub somewhere in (oh god suffolk or norfolk - place called eaton just outside norwich).. just as well i have satnav. i can confirm though that there is life east of cambridge... a few good pubs too...
no free wifi at hotel so its taken until now to get jacked in. was supposed to be running today but was working by 0800 and didnt get home until just after 1800 and am a bit knackered. still got some prep to do for tomorrow (somewhere in the bowels of bristol) but i'll get up early and chuck the paperwork at my apprentice
so as you may have guessedthe new job (erm about 2 years ago) is going well, seem to have got over my initial worries and now inflicting them on a new engineer.
run will have to wait until friday now as tommoz will be a long day.. doing (well trying to do) 3 x 3k a week to get back into the swing of things plus one or two 30min sessions on an old rowing machine in the garage or perhaps so light weights ( garage also) . knew i shouldn't have had a break, i was in pretty good shape and not even aching all the time (which was a nice change for me)
no sage like wisdon from me yet to anyone but am back reading a bit to get up to speed.
