Have a look at the Health and Injury section on this website. Lots of stretches and exercises for all parts of legs and hips etc.

I have been doing about 20 minutes a day of several of these examples for the last month after hurting my iliotibial band.

Started with mild pain on the outside of my knee and did not take to much notice. Then after a half marathon  I could hardly walk for a week. Now a month later I have done my first exercise today, gentle 30 minutes of bike. Lots of steching before and after.

Just looking forward to running again.

If anyone ever comes to Exmoor for Holidays / weekends etc and wants to go for a run , send me a message.

See the real Exmoor, Doone Valley,  hills, flat,  cross country, roads, tracks, whatever you like.

Cheers

Hi Rory

Pretty much the same as you a year ago, running up to 3 miles 2-3 times a week.

For last 4 months I have built up to 5 times a week  30-40 miles.

I also changed my diet, eating mainly carbs, oats, brown pasta, brown rice with loads of vegetables and fruit  little and often, still like a few drinks though as above.

I have lost 2 stone and am now down to almost 13 stone......feel great

good luck
