Hi Real Girl

I am currently off work with pneumonia and have been doing virtually nothing for the last 6 weeks . Like you I am active - running , biking , yoga, pilates etc.

I have just started doing some walks and have to admit to feeling very tired afterwards as my body is weak from lack of activity.

I have no idea when I am likely to be able to run again - but what I do know is that your body will tell you when it is ready and when you have done too much.

You will get back to it - and it will be all the sweeter when you do.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery

Hello all

I have just been signed off work with pneumonia - bit of a shocker as I thought I had a virus.

Can anyone share their experineces with me here on returning to running and how to tailor you training. I am a member of my local running club and train 2 nigths a week with the club , plus a long run at the weekend.

I should add that I have a place in the Grizzly on 10 March !

Thanks in advance all

This thread is really timely as I havea place in the Grizzly in 5 weeks time and am currently laid low with flu. I can't remember feeling so ill for a long time - it is bloody awful.

I really don't have the strength to even walk the dogs (albeit I do ) at the moment and I'm beginning to wonder when I will get back to training.

Just done the OMO today - and came back to the car to find a parking ticket on my car in the pay and display car park along the road from the leisure centre .

The parking at the leisure centre was full so we didn't have much choice- although the sign did say it was free on Sundays

Be warned if you do this event next year - be careful where you park as you may end up with a ticket - an expensive day out

We were not the only ones - many other cars were also ticketed

Won't be returning next year
