Hi Sarah

After running the London Marathon this year, I've found myself with (what appears to be) runner's knee (pain just under/below the kneecap) and a tight achilles - both on the right leg.

Are there any stretches I can do to relieve the pain? When I start running both the knee and achilles feels quite tight but the pain does ease as the run progresses.

Thanks

Neil

Hi everyone

Great race yesterday, well done to all who took part.  There have been a few questions about the 6:52m/m pacer (1:30) and who he was...it was me!

I got round in 1:29:56 (chip time) which was an average of 6:51m/m (so bang on).

Well organised race, and glad the last 3 miles didn't have a strong wind in my face like last year!

Hi Karen,

There is an official thread already set up by RW for Ruth.  See here:

http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/forum/forummessages.asp?dt=4&UTN=160309&last=1&V=6&SP=

If you're able to post the same question on the above thread Ruth will be happy to answer it.

Thanks

Neil

Hi all,

Great to see some fab times and performances from yesterday.

I've been following the thread for months, and must say it's been really helpful reading everyone's training schedules.

I had a great run yesterday - got round in 2:55 (going for 2:57). Race went perfectly, and felt amazing all the way round. Halfway in 1:28:35, did a negative split, and even finished the last three miles at a pretty good pace (6:30; 6:24; 6:18).

Again, congrats to all - same time again next year?

Neil

2:55 for me - absolutely over the moon.  Perfect race, went through halfway in 1:28:35, then did a negative split, with the last 3 mile splits recording as: 6:32, 6:26, 6:18!

Didn't feel tired at all, one of those days where you feel like you can run for hours on end...

Congrats to everyone, haven't heard many horror stories which is good.
