I was told last night that have anterior compartment syndrome.I am due to run the London next month and til last week training was on target for a 5 hour run. I am going to do rest of running miles on a bike instead, to keep my fitness up but not exert pressure on the affected leg. Using ibuprofen, ice packs, cold spray and rieki! It is uncomfortable but not painful and is much better for havingersted it this week.
On the day I wll aim to jog/walk.
Please do not tell me not to attempt it- this marathon marks my recovery from breast cancer( was diagnosed 3 weeks after I ran the london in 2007) so means everything and has to be done!!
Does anyone have any other advice/ experience of A C S that they can pass on? Thanks!
