Hi, just wondering if anyone can help. I always use the same trainers, but each time I get a new pair the first couple of times I run in them, I get a pain in the ball of my foot, sometimes right, sometimes left.. If the pain gets bad, I take off the trainer mid run, and rub my foot, then it's OK for another couple of miles and starts again... After a couple of runs the pain just goes... very odd.. answers on a postcard please.. ha ha..

I've just signed up to run the Isle of Man marathon on July...I was just hoping to get some feedback as to what I can expect.. It will be my 7th marathon.. and I've been told it's quite hilly... I ran Athens last year.. and found that a bit hellish - I didn't realise that from mile 12 to 20 was ALL uphill.. which was interesting - . and the weather didn't help either (it was freezing and very windy!!!).But I still managed to do it in 4hrs 18 mins..So I'm just wondering how challenging it is...!!

Did anyone run the Athens Marathon today? It was my 5th and hardest marathon to date.. the weather was absolutely appalling.. Rain, high winds and incredibly cold.... The 8 mile hill didn't help either.. but I was so glad I did it, especially crossing the finish line, in 4hrs 18 mins.... Nowhere near my P.B but with the circumstances I was pleased..!!!! Still can't believe how tough it was..!!

I'm running the Athens Marathon this year.. It will be my 4th marathon, and I haven't got a clue what to expect.. I would be glad to hear of anyone's experiences.. good or bad....!!!! I went out running today in London, and did 17 miles, I think it was about 27 degrees.. it was OK.. I felt a bit sick afterwards, and my time wasn't too bad.. 2hrs 37 mins...
