Hi, I had the same problem during my first open water olympic triathlon. I had a small size and it was very difficult to breath as it was very tight around my chest.Bad experience to be honest but I will go for a medium size next time even I am normally xs or sm.
This was my first marathon and I finished in 3:36min. Nice weather, except for the rain at the end, well organized and friendly environment but I have to say next time I will learn german.
