Ran this today - thought it was an excellent, picturesque route and particularly well organised and marshalled. Shall be looking forward to this next year.
I had 3 different brands recommended to try on and have a run in. Asics, New Balance and Saucony I think. It was £20 for just gait assessment or free if you actually bought the shoes from them on the day which I figured was fair enough.
Not aware of Picton Sports but I don't really know Llanelli that well - fwiw I used Up And Running in Swansea and it seemed to go well.... the shoes they recommended helped clear up the issues I was having.
Be interested to know how Picton are if you do use them Kev.
Hi LTS - I think Cardiff is the only Wales based Parkrun isn't it? Something like an 80 to 90 mile round trip for me hence I've only managed it a couple of times. Something at the waterfront in Llanelli would be good, especially in the warmer months, I think. Opens up Parkrun for a lot of West Wales potentially.
I've thought for a while that Llanelli waterfront would be a good place for a Parkrun. Stuck out north of Ammanford, Cardiff Parkrun is a bit of a trek for me and whilst I wouldn't be able to do it every week, I would hope to support a Llanelli parkrun a lot more regularly.
