Hi all

I fell down the stairs end of march and badly sprained my ankle, hadnt been able to walk properly for 2 months let alone run at all

Its only the last 2 weeks the pain and swelling has finally subsided and im itching to get the running shoes back on.

How much longer do you think I should wait, or should I just get out there and take it really easy, let my ankle tell me how far I can go?

Hi all

I said goodbye to this years VLM 3 weeks ago when fell down the stairs and twisted my ankle. The words that came out my mouth are not repeatable here. The tray of crockery that I was carrying was amazingly unscathed unlike myself

As I said that was 3 weeks ago and within a few hours I realised I would have to defer my place for this year, what I didnt realise 3 weeks later that it would still be annoying me as much if not more

I can walk around without too much difficulty but before when I was on crutches if I put my foot up and rested it the pain would go and that blis feeling of relief would come

Not any more, It just aches all the time now, its definitely getting better each day but this aching is driving me up the wall, even pain killers dont touch it

Any suggestions

I got it several years ago, had been clearing the garden including an old stinky pond and got bitten by a mosquito from the smelly water

Ended up in hospital on IV antibiotics, my leg was so swollen and red other patients thought it was a bad burn. So Incredibly painful as well to the point you could hardly walk

I now have lymphodema in that leg, its always swollen bigger that the other with water retention but could have been far worse. I was off work for 6 weeks
