Hi, I am a size 9 and always go up a half size. I am going to re-measure them seeing if there is a thumb width between my toe and the front of the shoe. I have alose been shown a new lacing technique that may help with the issue of my foot moving forward within the shoe.
If that does not work then its tape time and a new pair of shoes
Ok, so ihave been running in Saucony Omni's for some time now and purchased the new Omni 12's a month or 2 back. All seemed to be ok but I am now suffering from blistering on the tip of my toe. This really frustrating as i have never had any issues with any of the previous Omni versions i have had. I know its not my socks as it happens no matter what sock i wear. I have felt inside and there does appear to be a small ridge thats not on the ther shoe, that i think is causing the problem.
I have Brighton Marathon in about 5 weeks, so my question is do i suffer (rule 5) and just put some vasaline on the toe and the area thats rubbing in the shoe and hope that works, or look for another pair of trainers?
If i go down the new pair of trainers route does anyone have any ideas which Asics, Brooks, NB's etc etc would be on a par with the Omni's??
The cold and cough seems to be shifting with the help of the steam room and sauna at the gym. All being well i might try a little run tomorrow night and see how i get on. I must be able to handle a gentle 4m @ 10mm pace, surely?!?!?! ha
Really struggling with my motivation at the moment for this marathon! I have been ill since end of Novemebr with heavy colds, feaver and now have a chest infection. I have not been able to train since that date and its really getting me down and worried that i will struggle come race day.
