4:00:15 for me and very happy with that! Took it easy on the downhills to save possible problems with ITB and couldn't quite pull it back on the run into Llanberis to come in sub4 - but hey, that's what SNOD 2013 is for!!! Think TR40 and I passed each other along the way - do you have earrings aswell as tattoos? Have a cracking night those of you who are in town. Had a nice cpl of glasses of burgundy with tea and have moved on to a few cold ones from the fridge
Hey Brer, got your hello on the Shakespeare thread but thought I'd catch you on this one instead - too many peeps bitching on there
After being stood at the start line yesterday I FULLY agree with the decision the organisers made - Snod is one thing, we all know the conditions to expect, but there was a lot of ill attired runners there yesterday for the weather unfortunately and would have been in a bad way by the time they would have hit the greenway the 2nd time round.
I pretty much did the same as you brer and was hoping for a sub 1:40 and had managed to ditch my excess kit and gels etc on Mrs RWMS at the start - never changed so quickly lol Things were going nicely until I hit the greenway and my pace dropped and I couldn't bring it back and got in at 1:42 but with the conditions I'll take it lol
Not a wash-out weekend though, me and Mrs RWMS went to see Comedy of Errors (thoroughly recommend btw) after a nice pasta meal Saturday night and a live Jazz gig after a cracking Indian last night before returning home today ;O)
Unfortunately this was my last race until SNOD as I am out of the UK until October and was kinda hoping to finish with a full not a HM but what they hey lol
Evening one and all As usual such a busy thread with the usual suspects and some new ones! To the new ones - welcome to the madhouse :0) Have finally been able to apply for my 3rd Snod, wasn't sure I was going to be here. Running going well here, not as well as some of you mad buggers, mind - and you know who you are!! Got a 30k in Feb, a HM in Mar and making my 2nd attempt for Stratford in April (hopefully remain in the country for it this year!). That will be the end of my racing for up until Snod as I will be away from May to Oct, back just in time to taper lol The worst part is my only method of training for Snod will be on the dreaded treadmill, god help my sanity!!! As my training won't be ideal can you please put me into the 'just get round' group of this years list T-rex? Keep up the running peeps and I do try and catch up on here when I can, hope you all stay injury free and see you at the start line ;0)
