Elspeth - Happy Belated Birthday    Sounds like you had a nice day and a lovely cake!!

VR - Well done on your half.  Getting to the end of a half and feeling like you could go round again seems so alien to me!!  Hope next week is great too.

That is what I'd pretty much decided Shades.  Mr DG is a bit of a 'run through anything' type person (yes, he frequently ends up with more serious injuries, doesn't learn though...) and I'm a bit of a wimp really, so worry sometimes that I'm over cautious.  Think it's sensible to wait a bit and take things slowly.

LMUH - Its too late for the bake sale, but the chocolate victoria sponge would still be very welcome in this house

Alabama - slippery slope when OH starts running, they start to steal your training times and want to do races you were planning!!  Good luck with the workouts.  I did the '100 press ups' programme a couple of years ago, didn't get to 100, but went from only being able to do bent knee ones, to 50 full press ups and was very chuffed with myself.  Its fab for your abs.  The chin up bar has always defeated me completely, no matter what I've tried!

Elspeth and OH - Well done on your 5ks!

Well, after pain free Wednesday, hip was hurting a bit yesterday morning and after a couple of miles walk home from the garage (the car was taken there on a low loader ) its definitely niggly again.  Ibuprofen will stop the pain.  What's the best advice?  Rest, or take the pain killers and run?  I've no idea what to do for the best.

Cake!  That's what I like about this forum   I've been a bad mum and not sent anything in for the school bake sale.  Will have to go after school and buy something!

Mrs Mac - Good luck for your race!  It looks like an amazing challenge.  How's the weather forecast looking, or would you rather not know?

Keith - well done

Elspeth/OH - Congratulations to the proud parents

Hips fine, but Mr DGs come home tonight and said his car sounds ropey, so he'll take mine in the morning and can I sort his out
