OK thanks, I will try anything! the pain came on originally about 4 miles into an 8 mile run it was my furthest run to date! it seemed to be the down hill that triggered it. I do rest it and build back up slowly , the odd thing is it will be fine for a few runs then suddenly decide to resurface. It started 2 weeks before my first ever 10km race , I really want to get to some races this year but all I have managed is a 5 miler and some park runs , ironically I am studying to be a personal trainer , I will be accustomed to every ache sprain and injury going soon! . hi its lukes wife lynn! I hurt my inner thigh 2 months ago running down hill, at the time I thought it was a cramp as its that kind of constant dull pain. I have had 2 sports massages which only help for a little while , I stopped running for 3 weeks , it came back after second run. I went to the doctors he said i'd need scans . My dates for a scan came through for 12weeks time! im not waiting that long so I asked them to leave it!. I rested it , then started with some yoga and stretching, then strengthening exersizes which seemed ok and no pain. I ran Friday it was fine, ran sunday still fine tried last night and im in pain again! The pain is in the medial area of my left thigh about 6" from the top but very deep inside , I have to press extremely hard to feel pain when sitting, and it really hurts when I squeeze my knees together. I thought possible adductus area but really not sure. Any help would be hugely appreciated, thanks, lynn,.
