Well I've done it........joined a running club!! Started last Thursday. Everyone was so lovely! I was worried about being slow, and as it happens I was right.....I was slower than pretty much everyone. Going to stick to it though and hopefully I'll pick up speed quickly. Went out for a 6 mile run last Wednesday and then ran 7 miles in club (a couple of us went the wrong way and went further than we should!!). Legs felt so heavy yesterday......was thinking of a shortish run today, but think I might leave it until tomorrow.

What runs are people doing over the weekend? Any races coming up? I'm doing the Cardiff 10k week tomorrow, and determined to get a pb!!

Have you not been out for a run at all during the last 4 weeks? Don't worry about your 5k.....you know what you're able to achieve on Monday, so just go for it, do your best........adrenalin will push you further than you think you can go! Don't overdo it though, and just enjoy the experience. Whatever time you do it will be a PB!! Run/walk it, enjoy it, and you'll have a target for your next 5k then!! Good luck!

Thanks. Kinda guessed that would be the answer. I'm going away over the weekend, but there's a gym where I'm staying so may do 5k on the treadmill, and then will try again next week.

Wexter you're doing really well. I'd love to get my 10k time down to that. What time did you complete your first 10k in? Well done!
