The Lakeland 50 see's me compete in my first Ultra, please could you more experienced guys and gals detail what you'd see as the very basics of what my training should consist off.

Hal doesn't mention much about cross-training during his schedule, i would've thought some core-strength exercises would ve important?
Hope you're all good, im in the 50 for the first time, could anyone please point me in the direction of a training plan? Not sure what distances i should be doing as time goes on?
