It was my first half marathon and i was pretty pleased with my time I expected 2 hrs 20/30 but did 2 hrs 12, so really pleased I thought it was an enjoyable race, lovely countryside, marshalls and volunteers were friendly, plenty of water and sponges. I didn't even attempt to run up the hill at 10 miles. I'm a bit stiff today though! |

I did 9 miles of the route on Sunday, so a bit more prepared now for the hills. I haven't received my number yet, but see my name on the list. I've never tried the gel things. I think I'm too late for Sunday's run, but thinking about it for a half marathon I have in October. Do they really help? |

I will start towards back too. I hate starting off to fast and then I get tired out too quickly. I'm going for it, just entered online |
