Well done on the 500miles Howard. Are the glutes feeling any better this evening? I ran that tow path when I lived in London, I have some very un-fond memories of horizontal snow and mud.. it's nice to feel somewhat away from all houses/people though.
I'm exhausted after duathlon yesterday, cycle training this morn and then I was in charge of the hill session at the tri club tonight so had to go along. I wimped out of one rep, but still managed three. Also managed to run into a man with a door - he popped out an alleyway just as I was running past. Ouch.
Thanks Bigeater - I'd definitely recommend them! Glad your hamstring is recovering well.
Good idea to drop the mileage to avoid jelly legs. Today's hill session was a killer on mine, more heavy than jelly though. Also managed to run into a man carrying a door - he popped out of an alleyway just as I ran past, I'm not sure who was more shocked..
That's a hefty mileage target (relative to me) AlanB, nice work - esp on top of the cycling! Is that a year round target?
Duathlon went well, I resisted chasing the front pack (age-group triathletes, it wouldn't have been pretty) and my second run lap was only 30 seconds slower than the first - after 10 miles of cycling - so I'm considering it a pacing success!
Edo - I've a hills session tonight too. My poor legs.
