Fit Chick version 2.0
Posted: 17/06/04 19:22:19 19
Hi everyone,
It's me, I'm back! - Fit Chick (AKA still dreaming)7 weeks after my surgery! The surgeon on Tuesday gave me a clean bill of health and said I can start running again! I expected to have to start back at the beginning with a run/walk, however yesterday I put my running shoes on and went out on my own to see how far I could go.

I am pleased to say I managed 21 mins or 1.7 miles without stopping but at a slow pace. Today I went out with a friend and did 25 mins at a much faster pace. I know it's not a long run or anything but just being able to run again is fantastic.

Thanks for birthday wishes Suse and FR. I have had a great day. I have had lots of friends drop by and for once the weather has been great and I have been sitting enjoying the sunshine and having a nice drink with them.

When I was a child I liked getting Birthday cards it meant I was another year older.

Well todays my 47th Birthday and I still like getting cards, but now it just means I have some friends who care and bother sending cards to show me they have remembered.
