why hello there!!

long time no forum chat...   i got a bit of post first marathon depression if there is such a thing.  i aimed for a sub 3 hr and got 2:56:12....job done......not done a lot since and would love to have a go at this again.  This is a great course, well organised....turkey farm at about 2 miles.....an industrial estate to run thorugh twice.....

honest, loved the race.  Fast legs was on form last yr...sub 2:50 if memory serves me right and Pipes was on good form too.  Soz to hear about hip Pipes, hope you ok.

I'm a 16lbs heavier than i was for abo 2010, still run but am struggling to do 7 min miles......will cut the ale out and have a crack me thinks....

Great race, ran it in 2010 and set a PB....well, to be honest it was my first marathon so was going to be a PB whatever but that's a different story......i hope to do it again this year

Hmmmm.....i'm on a bit of post-marathon downer if truth be known.......first marathon for me, got sub 3 hr.....hmmmm......have had a week of drinking and eating what i want , got a 5km next weekend and Reading half in the spring.  I have analysed my race pace and was running 8 minute miles for the last 2 miles which in my eyes is a minute a mile slower than i should have been therefore there was a 2:54 up for grabs......could i someday get a sub 2:50......i wonder......

Can I say well done all and my thanks especially to marshalls/organisers.  The whole event was brilliant

Am v chuffed to have gone under the 3 hr mark and will certainly hope to enter next year.

Well, I played football during my work lunchtime on Monday......I had the turning circle of the Ark Royal!!!  Crikey!!!  Plan is to have a trot out tomorrow night.  Gonna have the odd can of Old Speckled Hen ale  in the meantime......
