Hmmm well I did a half yesterday...milkshake straight after & jelly beans are a must for journey home (tradition) along with water, followed by roast, might have to walk the dog if no one has done it for me...
next day, go to work as normal and off to the gym in the evening for some abs work and a spin class - great for recovery and good and warm for a decent stretch session without the impact of running. Back to normal tomorrow as long as feeling ok and back into marathon training mode; gearing up for a 22 miler next weekend.
Is there a way you could get to the first station without running and then just get off some stops earlier and get a quality longer run in from station to office? then grab the train home without running on way home? (assuming like me you prefer to run in the morning)...
Practise...i used to feel this when i did lowish mileage, now i do more miles and am fitter i dont have an issue at all so i guess its all in getting fitter. I would recommend throwing some additional types of endurance training in such as a spin class or interval training runs, it will make your body more effecient. I never do anything less than 10 miles in a single run per week. Dont know if that helps
