I consider this to be one of the best half marathons I've had the pleasure of running.
Very well organised and extremely friendly, the course is mainly on quiet country roads and, although not entirely traffic free, there's not much about.
There are a few hills about, however. A reasonable climb at 3.5 miles is the worst of it. It's a pretty standard "undulating" course - nothing too nasty.
Being on August bank holiday it can be hot, but there's a great selection of cakes to look forward to at the end.
Hope that helps. |

AV - yes they have bars at Gatwick, and they've always been open at whatever time I've tried to buy beer there... which has usually been at about 5 or 6 in the morning. I'll have a bucket waiting for you.
Hi Sim, good to see you're still out there somewhere. |

Hi guys,
Good to see there are still a few of us about. I'm also intending to be there again at London, so I guess we'll see what happens this year.
Things are going OK so far, touch wood. Went way better than expected at Bramley the other week, so pretty encouraging.
Anyone else doing Fleet next month? |
