Very good morning folks. Hope all is well. In the mood now for a 4 or mile run after sunday, need to starting buliding on the effort form my 10k now, bulid the stamina and timing i think. NV: Its a fairly flatish 1/2 one mate, there are some steepish hills though, but im sure that would be a breeze for you. There is a route on the website but it not showing elevation which is abit annoying. Claire - How are you feleing after your 10K? Have a great day all. |

Hi NV. It's the Ipswich Half Marathon mate, end of Sept. Thinking with my time on the 10k I have a good base to move forward, splits at 6 miles are average 8.44 but need to strengthen knee and ankle I think, being 6ft 4in is a knee killer it seems. |

Evening all. NV-Great report, truly inspiring mate.
Claire - feeling the same as you, but Thursday I intend to start training for my half in Sept, plus I raised over £350 for a local ward at the hospital with the 10k so cannot go back on all the training now.
Grant - Great stuff mate, your on your way now, first part is entering.
Jammers- will check those shoes out myself, need some that fit me properly now I think.
Slow and old - sounds like a great run, know how you feel about going ahead before your body is ready, hard to reel yourself in sometimes ain't it.
Hope everyone else is well. |

Claire - sounds like a great run and in horrid conditions, makes the challenge and satisfaction better I imagine?
NV - Brilliant stuff, so glad it went well, look forward to the report. |

Afternoon. Hope everyones events went well today?
Very happy with my 10K this morning, very hot, rough tracked terrain, 56.03 mins in the end, 244 out of 415 actually running so not bad for a newbie! Not the best start as quite a narrow track and started at the back, so lots of bunching, but after a while, good pace and made my way at at good speed, even had energy for a sprint finish!! 1/2 Marathon Next?? |
