SNB

Thanks - will check it out. Was kind of hoping there would be B&B's even cheaper but its not looking that cheap at all from a brief scan of the place! In fact flying up and staying in Scotland is working out more expensive than any other european marathon I have done. Still i am sure it will be worth it in the end!

8 miles for me tomorrow all being well, gonna try and go early - its apparently going to be a scorcher in Sheffield!

Hello all, I have signed up for this one, mara number 11 for me but first one in Scotland. I been injured for sooo long am hoping I can actually train properly for this one and try and go for a good time. 11 miles so far in the long run stakes here, about 28 miles per week total so far. Any recommendation for cheap accomodation, will be on my tod (eyes role at the cost V sharing).

I went down to Luton for the weekend anyway as I had train tickets and I have friend there and went out for a run on Sunday, only about 6 miles but didn't see any snow at all Dave but if that photo was taken anywhere on the route then I feel much better.

I agree with the comment above, appreciate we all signed up to a 'no refund clause' but a roll over till next year place would be appreciated, I don't claim to know anything about the costs of putting on a marathon though so am not sure if this is possible or to what extent all of the funds will be been spent regardless of it going ahead or not.

Anyway - onwards and upwards. Liverbirds on NYE it looks like it will be for me!

yep, snow melting in Sheffielfd as well, perfect for running today actually  - though woke up at four this morning to water dripping in through the wall immediately above my bedroom window - water in the guttering frozen and so excess running down the front outside wall and in behind the header above the window down into my room, super P'd off.
