First half 1:56 and 788th pos, second half 2:06 and 529th pos. Had hoped for just under 4 hrs based on a previous marathon PB of 3:42 at Edinburgh this year. So all in all very content and think the second half went particularly well - managed to run nearly all the last hill out of Waun Fawr. Will definately run it again but not sure if it'll be next year.

Great event, really enjoyed it. Happy with 4:02:16, target was 4 hours so very close. 45th in M50 is the best placing I've ever managed!

Very relaxed 18 miles today, I know I've not done as much hill work as I had hoped but I'm feeling fit and well with no niggles at all. Really looking forward to the event, I've every confidence it'll be as good as everyone says. If the weather is anything like today it would be fabulous!

Pleased to say I had a good run. No Garmin but familiar with route approx 20 miles in 3 hours. Worked in all the hilly bits I could and had a good spell running into a stiff breeze for a couple of miles along the coast. All in all a good run and feeling fit and confident. I know the hills will be more than I've ever faced in a marathon before but I reckon that by taking it steadily around the rest of the course plus the race day energy boost as I should be ok. Interested in strategy for the final hill, do most people walk or continue a with a slow run?

Just off for a 20 miler, lovely day for it though a bit breezy. Left my Garmin at work which I'm going to try to turn into a positive by not worrying about pace and distance. Not done as much dedicated hill work as I had hoped for but happy with preparations in general so far.
